FOR SALE: Jackson Hole Chairlift

There will be a lot of old chairlifts available for sale this offseason, as companies like Vail Resorts are replacing a bunch of their lifts. Over at Jackson Hole, it appears like the Thunder Quad Chairlifts’ days may be numbered. A listing on the Ski Area Managements Classifieds page shows that the resort is selling the Leitner-Poma fixed-grip quad that was installed in 1994. It will be interesting to see whether Jackson Hole quickly pursues a replacement for the lift, or whether they keep the area vacant.

The description of the lift on Ski Area Management, along with a POV of the lift from Maine Lift, is below:

“Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is selling the Thunder lift. This 1994 Leitner-Poma fixed-grip quad has a chair capacity of 1,800 PPH and a clockwise rotation. It comes with 102 carriers. Power comes from a 500HP ABB motor producing an operating speed of 2.54 m/s. The lift has a new ZF industrial gearbox and [a] new service brake. If interested, please contact Troy Stoker at 307.690.1264.”
