The Northeast is Having a Deep Powder Day Right Now!

May be an image of 1 person, nature, skiing and snowIt’s a deep powder day for the ski resorts of Northern New England and New York right now. The snow that started on Thursday has continued overnight, and it will continue snowing well throughout the day today. The big winner appears to be Jay Peak with over two feet of snow in the last forty-eight hours, with many others following close behind with over a foot of snow. There was definitely a rain/snow line to this storm though. For example, I live in the Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee region, and we definitely got shafted snow-wise, with only a few inches after heavy rain overnight.

Here are some of the snow totals from the storm divided up by each state, and based on which mountains got six inches or more. I’ll keep updating the totals as the snowstorm progresses:

Vermont

New Hampshire

Maine

New York
