Summit at Snoqualmie Having its Deepest Season in Twenty Years!

It’s pretty deep in the Pacific Northwest right now. This is especially true at Summit at Snoqualmie in Washington. On January 3rd, Snoqualmie Pass passed 236 inches of snow so far this season, which is their biggest powder total in the past twenty years. As of 8 pm on Wednesday, the mountain has seen between 34-40 inches of snow in the past forty-eight hours. With a 86-119 inch base at the various bases that comprise the resort, it’s safe to say I’m a little jealous as I write this from the bone dry state of New Hampshire. With all this new snow comes serious risks, like tree wells and snow suffocation. The mountain has dealt with various power outages though, and road closures have been common. Keep these things in mind, bring a friend, and have a plan in case of emergencies if you head up there. Now on that damper note: who’s ready for a road trip?
