Researchers Discover ‘Dead Zone’ With No Living Organisms In Antarctica

Interesting video here from KSL News about a BYU professor who discovered a ‘dead zone’ in Antarctica. The video explains that no life was detected in the soil recovered from the area. Not even microbes that survive in some of the harshest conditions on Earth.

Pretty funny that this guy literally discovered a place with ‘nothing’, and yet it’s a very interesting find. There are very few places on earth where literally no life exists. Let’s just hope that area doesn’t continue to get larger with climate change…
