Wild Mountain, MN, a newfound front-runner to be the first ski area open in North America each season, lost the entirety of its maintenance building in a fire back in March.
The ski area will need to rebuild the maintenance building, but before crews start demolishing the rubble, shared some new photos that capture how devastating the fire was on their equipment.
Seeing snow guns and snow cats burnt to a crisp is an almost-apocalyptic type of scene. Thank god the first didn’t spread further through the ski area!
We hope Wild Mountain hits the ground running next season with a brand-new maintenance building for its staff.
