“Routt County Search and Rescue is extremely thankful for the generous support provided by Steamboat Resort through the donation of uphill pass proceeds. This donation from Steamboat Resort will be a tremendous help in our efforts to maintain an up-to-date and effective team.” –President of Routt County Search and Rescue, Jay Bowman
Dave Hunter, Ski Corp. vice president of mountain operations had this to say about the uphill access during the 2020-2021 ski season:
“This season especially, it was important for us to be able to provide an outlet through outdoor recreation. We look forward to working with the growing uphill community to provide a safe experience for all.”
The ski resort closed operations for the season on April 11th, but uphill access is permitted this spring. The resort is no longer grooming to the top of Thunderhead Lodge. Skiers and snowboarders are asked to be aware of increased heavy machinery in the area due to the start of construction projects. MORE INFO HERE
