Standing at 24,786ft tall, Annapurna III in the Himalayas of Nepal was first ascended 6 May 1961 by an Indian expedition led by Capt. Mohan Singh Kohli via the Northeast Face but it’s Southeast ridge proved one of the world’s greatest unsolved puzzles of alpinism.
