It Snowed So Hard In Austria That The Government Was Forced To Postpone COVID Testing (Pics)

In a headline that could only be written in 2020, (is saying “only in 2020” over-played yet?), we learn that several Austrian high-alpine communities were forced to delay mass-covid testing because there was simply too much snow!

Austria wasn’t the only country smacked by father-winter either. Italy, Switzerland, and France are all reporting staggering storm totals. It’s such a shame that all of these countries (besides Switzerland) aren’t able to enjoy that pow. Must be torture.

Take a look at these 7-day snow totals for some resorts across the region, according to OnTheSnow. Insane.

Chiesa Valmalenco, Italy- 210cm (82.6 in)

Maniva Ski, Italy- 200cm (78.4 in)

Obergurgl-Hochgurgl, Austria- 190cm (74.8 in)

Corvatsch – Sils – Silvaplana, Switzerland- 153cm (60 in)
