The Tri-City Herald is reporting that 2 skiers sustained minor injuries after the chair they were riding at 49 Degrees North detached from the cable.
The incident occurred on the Bonanza lift, which is a 1972 SLI double with Riblet insert clips, according to Lift Blog.

The lift was safely unloaded, and has remained closed since the incident occurred.
Glad to hear that everybody was okay. I can’t lie that I randomly fear the chair derailing while I’m riding up. It’s unclear exactly how far the skiers fell, but I feel like even a 10′ fall could be devastating. Scary stuff.
