Smart Heated Gloves and Socks Kickstarter Raises $250K

Get a load of this Kickstarter campaign for smart heated gloves and socks that reached it’s in funding goal of $20,351 in under two hours and has since raised over a quarter of a million. Quanta Vici gloves and socks feature a proprietary system of built-in sensors that measure the temperature inside the wearable, regulate heat, and maintain your exact, preferred temperature down to the degree. 

Basically you program the bluetooth connected apparel using your smartphone to your preferred level of toastyness (up to 130F) and enjoy up to 6.5 hours of heat. There’s quite a few bells and whistles but I found anti lost/theft feature pretty cool, the smartphone app will actually notifiy you if you become separated from your gear. They ain’t cheap (Gloves $180/Socks $159) but if you’re willing to pay a premium for comfort they may perfect for a teched out ski kit. MORE INFO HERE.
