British Columbia Ski Areas Lobby For Huge Government Stimulus Package

SAMinfo is reporting that ski areas in British Columbia are lobbying for carve-outs from a massive COVID-19 government assistance program.

The Mountain Resort Community Emergency Funding Program (MRCEFP) is a CAN $1.5 billion recovery plan to support resort communities hit hard by the outbreak. The money is to be used to address mountain community issues such as affordable housing, town infrastructure upgrades, facility expansions, and the creation of a stable year-round workforce.
