Reports state that up to 5 inches of rain fell in the area and completely washed out the only access road to the resort. High winds and saturated soil have also led to numerous landslides. With the access road in shambles, the skiers and riders are hunkering down at the resort for the time being,

Thankfully, there are not any reports of injuries due to the landslides and heavy rain. The resort’s website claims there is a heli-service that is taking stranded visitors to a nearby airport. The flight costs $150 per person. Hopefully those stranded will be able to get out of there soon.
