Christopher Neumayer Airlifted After Super-G Crash (Torn ACL & Tibial Head Fracture)

In the men’s World Cup Combined event in Italy, Christopher Neumayer suffered a scary crash during his super-G run, resulting in serious injuries. Skiracing.com reports 27-year-old Austrian Christopher Neumayer suffered a torn ACL and a tibial head fracture following a nasty head-first crash in Sunday’s World Cup alpine combined in Bormio, Italy.

Neumayer was airlifted off course and returned to his native Austria for further evaluation. An MRI conducted on Sunday evening in Innsbruck revealed the extent of his season ending injuries. Best wishes to Christopher in his recovery.
