National Park Service Issues Guidelines On How To Pet a Bison

“Not only did he put himself and others at risk, he violated regulations designed to keep these animals wild,” Yellowstone Superintendent Cam Sholly told The Associated Press. “We expect better from our visitors.”

National Park Service has issued a wildlife petting chart following recent activity in which people have been getting too close to wildlife.

The chart is clearly tongue in cheek but the NPS is clearly pissed off at recent footage coming out of our parks including a small child being nearly killed by a bison.

Should you pet a wild bison? The answer, surprisingly, is “no,” according to the National Parks Service. (Photo: NPS photo)
