Can you imagine hiking around the mountains and discovering a ski thats over a 1250 years old just sitting in plain sight in a rock pile? Thats exactly what happened to Runar Hole when he found a ancient Digervarden ski in Norway’s Reinheimen National Park while on an archaeological expedition in 2014. The ski was later radio carbon dated to 750 A.D.  It is exhibited at the Norwegian Mountain Center in Lom, Oppland.
