I know that climate keeps skiers and snowboarders from doing something similar but I for one think all sports could benefit from this type of body positivity.

Social media isn’t real life! Pretty pictures are one thing, but there’s a far less glamorous story to my past twelve weeks. International trips aborted due to family matters. Personal health issues, and now, like clockwork – the Big Wave season starts and my body breaks down. MCL tears the last two years and this year it’s a sprained lower back. For the last week I couldn’t even bend forward to put on shoes. When life takes a turn, It can feel overwhelming but maintaining a positive internal dialogue when everything feels like it’s heading south is super empowering. Tony Robbins says, “change your story, change your life!” So… I’ve tapped a creative vein with my art and know exactly where I’m heading with it and can say that I will be having an exhibition really soon! I’ve just started training again and OMG it feels good to sweat and release some endorphins! It’s making me so happy!!! Sorry for such a long caption just thought I needed to share and get real. And one last thing… thank you to my friends and family over the last couple of months who have been there for me 🙏🏽💕
