Canada’s ski season kicked off in earnest this morning with enthusiastic skiers and riders lining up for first chair at Sunshine Village, Lake Louise, and Mt Norquay.

The big opening was definitely at Sunshine Village, where 5 lifts opened to a fairly wide variety of beginner and intermediate terrain, not to mention over 17 terrain features in the Strawberry Park.

Over at Lake Louise, they’re waiting for more snow and cold temps with just one chair and a few beginner runs available to the public. Norquay is seeing the same kinda deal with just 1 lift open.
