The Art Of Skiing: An Ode To Season Passes And The Dreams They Inspire

It’s pass season folks.

There’s an unbridled hope that comes with the purchase of a ski pass each year. Prior to the season’s actual arrival, when the wind blows cold and suddenly the smell of snow invades our nostrils. It’s a time when what the season holds is still unknown. But for one brief day, the day we purchase a season pass, the upcoming season is perfect.

Every ski day will be a bluebird powder day, with no lift lines and no traffic in the parking lot.

Every aprés includes great live music and colder than ice-cold beer. Every hot tub is clean and sits at a perfect 101°F.

For those planning vacations around a season pass, they get to dream about it on pass day. 5 days away from the office skiing at that new resort. It’s going to dump every day except for the last and when spring rolls around– who cares? Grab them a beer!

Maybe this season pass holder is planning to join the 100 day club for the first time or the fifteenth time.

As you crack a smile or do something that the pass office would normally not allow, we’re all kids again just for a moment.

Anything is possible when you buy a season pass.

Happy Skiing
