The Mountain Collective Just Added Its Second Japanese Destination

Having already dipped their toes in the deep snow of Japanese’s southern island, the folks at the Mountain Collective are stepping up their game by adding Hokkaido’s premiere ski resort.

Starting this year, The Mountain Collective will offer 2 days of skiing at Niseko United. Having previously added Hakuba Valley, the multi-resort pass now has the two biggest and best ski resorts in Japan.

“With the addition of another premier Japanese Global affiliate, Niseko United, to go along with Hakuba Valley, we now offer the best of Japan on one pass!” – Mountain Collective release

The Niseko United ski domaine includes Hanazono, Grand Hirafu, Niseko Village, and Annupuri ski areas. These 4 unique, interconnected ski areas all share the same peak– Niseko Annupuri (4,291′). In the past year alone, The Mountain Collective has added three resorts with the two prior coming in the forms of Sugarbush, VT and Snowbasin, UT.

In the past year, the revolutionary multi-resort pass lost Stowe and Whistler Blackcomb to Vail Resorts. We’ll just have to wait and see if these additions are actual game-changers with the power to stop the bleeding that’s resulted from all the resort consolidation in the past 2 years.
