A 60 year-old resident of Denver died on the Green River this past weekend during a commercial trip on inflatable kayaks reports Fox 31 Denver.

The man flipped in Winnie’s Rapid near Dinosaur National Monument and started floating downstream when he signaled to nearby guides that he was okay. However, once they pulled him from the water, he appeared to be in pain. The victim was then airlifted to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Officials believe the man suffered from some sort of cardiac event.

*The fatality is the third river-related death since the beginning of high water.
