Utah might just lose their biggest exposition after 20 consecutive years of hosting the event due to the states public lands policies and members of Utah’s GOP stance on removing the national monument designation of Bears Ears. The rubber has hit the road so to speak for Utah to get with the ethos of the retailers featured at the convention or they might find a venue in a state that is more agreeable with the values the outdoor industry holds dear. Hopefully the pressure put on by threatening to find a new venue will be enough for policy makers to reconsider their decisions. Time will tell.
