That was until 2014 when a local local lawyer, Russell Barr, founded Stowe Aviation and restored the old airport to its former glory with some financial assistance from the government to the tune of $27 million.
Shortly thereafter in the fall of 2015, a small charter company began flying between Westchester County Airport in White Plains (not quite NYC but close enough) and Stowe. They run 2-4 flights per day Friday-Sunday. To book your flight go HERE.
Here is what you can expect from the $395 oneway ticket:
-75-minute scheduled shuttle
-Aircraft: Pilatus PC-12 propjets (8 person max)
-No TSA lines (enjoy a private lounge-sporting FBO terminal)
-Nice seats with leather and wooden trim
-20 minutes to the mountain once your wheels down in Vermont
*The Baller Option: on-demand private charter service, starting with a $50K deposit).
