While a couple skiers are already getting after it in Montana, the snow hasn’t been completely relegated to the northern rockies. In fact, the Sierra are next in the lineup.

Today, Lake Tahoe should see a couple inches of accumulation along the higher peaks of the Sierra. So far, the snow looks to fall more to the south, near Kirkwood Mountain and Carson Pass. Ski areas on the eastern shore of the lake should also see accumulations on their higher peaks.

NWS Forecast: Much cooler temperatures along with showers and isolated thunderstorms in store for today. There is potential for spotty frost in colder western Nevada valleys Wednesday morning. Otherwise, a gradual warming trend along with dry conditions are expected the remainder of the week into next weekend.
