A new lift system connecting Stuben/Rauz and Zürs will create the biggest inter-linked ski area in Austria. The new lift will allow skiers and snowboarders to explore the entire Alberg area which comprises of 305 km (189.5 miles) of runs and 87 skis lifts!

There will be four new lifts in total with the main lift, which has been christened The Flexenbahn (Flex Lift), linking Stuben on the St Anton side to Zurs on the Lech side.

The new inter-connected ski area will include the resorts of St. Anton, St. Christoph, Stuben, Zürs, Lech, Oberlech, Schröcken, and Warth.

The total cost of the cableways construction is estimated to be €45 million.

“With the opening of the new Flexenbahn cableway, and hence the option of easily exploring the entire Arlberg on skis, the time is right to write new history – with old and new skiing stars. In their honour, a new spectacular skiing run – the “Run of Fame” – will be created following the link between Zürs and Stuben/Rauz in addition to the already popular and legendary skiing runs and downhill pistes in the Arlberg skiing area, such as “The White Ring” in Lech Zürs, the “Tannberg Ring” in Warth-Schröcken and the longest downhill piste at the Arlberg, in St. Anton, named “The White Thrill”!”
