Brian Pollick, a member of the Powder Mountain avalanche reduction team, was airlifted to a hospital after he was caught in a slide yesterday on James Peak. The patroller was doing a ski cut to prep the area when the slope gave way.

Thankfully only minor injuries were reported, but it’s a good reminder that even the best can get caught up in a slide.
