New York’s 2 Adirondack Ski Centers Open For Ski Season

Both Gore Mountain and Whiteface have opened for the 2015 -2016 ski season. Despite warm weather and a lack of snowfall, the two state operated ski areas have been able to get enough snow down to offer up skiing and riding on Thanksgiving weekend.
Opening weekend ticket prices of $38 for adults, $29 for teens, and $20 for juniors when skiers donate a non-perishable food item.
Whiteface

“Gore’s snowmakers wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving! We’re going to start the season tomorrow morning around 10am and we’ll have some terrain park features near the Saddle. Please note Opening Weekend is for intermediates and experts only- there will be areas of thin cover and bare spots, so have fun while skiing with care. Can’t wait to see you!”
