US Secretary of State, John Kerry, is being treated at a hospital in Geneva following a cycling accident in the French Alps. It is being reported that Kerry hit a curb in the alpine town of Scionzier, located 25 miles over the Swiss border.

The 71-year old had been in Switzelrand for international talks on Iran’s nuclear programme.

“Paramedics and a physician were on the scene with the secretary’s motorcade at the time of the accident,” said a statement from the State Department.
