Four people were injured, two of them critically, when an empty chair hit a ski tower and fell about 20 feet at a Canadian ski resort Saturday. The swinging chair caused occupied chairs in front of and behind it to fall to the ground about 11 a.m. (2 p.m. ET) at Crystal Mountain near Kelowna in British Columbia, authorities said.
The injured weren’t immediately identified, but Mike Morin, the resort’s general manager, told the CBC that they were three men and a woman 18 and 35 years old.
