Mammoth mountain has announced that they will be staying open until the end of May. Mammoth is the king of spring skiing.
May in Mammoth is the only place to be. Killer backcountry all over and the best park on the west coast. This is huge for a lot of us as our winter was meager and now we’ve got a place to get a few more days in this spring.
You can ski, bike, rock climb, hot spring, swim in the river, 4×4, see live music, hit on hot LA chicks, and drink beer all in the same spring day in Mammoth. It’s the springtime go-to.
An exact closing date hasn’t been set just yet, but Mammoth will at least be open thru Memorial Day with some fun events:
- Easter at Mammoth, April 7-8, with activities for the whole family
- Springfest, April 20-22, featuring the annual Pond Skim followed by a performance from Neon Indian
- West Coast Invitational, May 4-5
- Memorial Day Madness, May 26 – 27
