Anybody that’s skied Jackson Hole over the last couple days has likely noticed the wall-to-wall slide on Pucker Face. There was a lot of speculation of how it went down, and the folks over at Get Ungrounded just posted some video of it. It’s gnarly. Pucker is just outside of the JHMR chains, and has a SE exposure. The summit weather station has temps in the low 30s during the time of the event. As the video shows, one skier makes it through before a snowboarder hits the trigger point. The snowboarder was able to self arrest and avoid going through the strainer below- I hope he’s counting his blessings.
