Damn. Wolf Creek, CO is stepping it up. This is big, huge, enormous, gargantuan, and ridiculous. I guess they got about 3 feet out of the this storm and apparently, they are feeling pretty good about. Good enough to open 3 lifts this weekend, sell $33 tickets, have rentals open, sport shop open, with 9am openings both Saturday & Sunday, and be the first resort open in 2011/12.
These guys have huevos. I love it. Go Wolf Creek. Much respect for bringing the powder to the people. I think a lot of resorts could benefit by observing this example.
This is what snow freaks would have done if they owned a mountain. I guess Wolf Creek is run by snow freaks.
