Right now, it’s pissing rain at the base of the mountain. But, the top of the mountain is nuking snow and the wind is 150 km/hr.

It’s kinda hard to believe how hard it’s raining in town right now.  Only in Patagonia…

Yesterday, Sept. 10th, 2011, was a pretty fun day on the hill. It was sunny and windy with wind-blown snow on top of a super hard ice layer from the previous day’s rain.   The snowy spots were fun.  The icy spots were not.

Tomorrow is lookin’ good here in Bariloche. The current storm is forecasted to rage all night, snow levels are supposed to drop to the bottom of the mountain, winds should mellow a bit, and hopefully there is some visibility.
