Check out this AWESOME photo gallery from the first day of the 2011 Red Bull Cold Rush via PowderMag.com. Day 1 was the Big Mountain portion of the comp with athletes throwing down some impressive runs from Storm Peak in Pequenos, Grande, and Gnar Couloirs. Many first descents, and never before seen combos went down at Silverton Mountain yesterday according to Aaron Brill, Silverton’s owner. The performance of the day I guess belonged to Dave Treadway who linked a route down The Gnar Couloir no one else was even attempting, with significant exposure and a mandatory 50+foot drop.
