Although details have been slow to emerge, the skier who died at Keystone on January 20th has been identified as a Jason Alexander Taylor.

Known to his friends as Jay, the Boulder resident was known for his love of the outdoors, which included trekking, climbing, mountain biking and skiing. In addition to his passion for scenic backdrops, he also practiced glass artwork in Boulder, which allowed his adventurous spirit to roam across the world.

According to reports from the Boulder Daily Camera, Jay was skiing off Elk Run @Keystone Mountain Resort, when he hit a tree. Later in the day, he was pronounced dead. Since the tragic incident, a memorial was held by his parent’s in their hometown of Manchester-By-The-Sea, Massachusetts.
