Climbing at the Olympics will look a bit different than it did last time around.

PARIS, France – Climbing is back for another summer Olympics, but it’s going to be a little bit different this time around. Climbing only had one medal for both men and women in the last Olympics, asking climbers to compete in bouldering, lead, and speed for gold (a highly criticized decision). This time around, bouldering & lead will count as one event, and speed will count as its own. So since Olympic climbing is so new to all of us, here’s a guide to make rooting for your favorite athlete a bit easier.
