Just south of the twin cities in Burnsville, Minnesota lies the humble Buck Hill. A small, 309′ hill, the Minnesota ski area doesn’t boast legendary Jackson vertical but its ski racing alumni includes none other than ski racing’s living legend– Lindsey Vonn.

That said, The small ski slope is about to see some big time, non-Vonn related press following an announcement that the resort will be adding a dry-slope area that will host skiing year-round. Consisting of the Italian made Neveplast® material, skiers and boarders will have the exact same feel of going from edge to edge as they would on a snow-covered Buck Hill.

“Neveplast revolutionized the dry ski slope sector with a synthetic mat that perfectly simulates real snow conditions.”Buck Hill Website

The dry slope’s debut is currently marked for this fall with construction beginning in the coming weeks.
