One thing about spring skiing in grizzly country is its only a matter of time before the sleeping giants wake up from their winter slumber and come out looking for a snack.
Olivia the grizzly bear is regular around the resort area during the summer but this year she was spotted wandering around a few active ski runs up in Lake Louise as reported by planetski.eu.
Skiers and snowboarders were able to continue to ride on the backside of the mountain using the gondola, giving Olivia plenty of room to do grizzly things without threatening their safety.
Resort staff closely monitored her for a few hours and eventually she wandered back into the woods. The resort plans to remain open until May 8th and everyone will be on high alert and do their best to keep their distance from Olivia.
