Skico has announced that Highlands will close on April 10th as scheduled but will reopen for two additional weekends later in the month.
Skico Vice President of Mountain Operations, Rich Burkley, reported Highlands has a base of more than 90 inches when he spoke with the Aspen Times, which he believes will be more than enough coverage to keep most of the available terrain open for the bonus weekends. The mountain will reopen Saturday and Sunday, April 23rd and 24th, and Saturday and Sunday, April 30th and May 1st.
