Apparently the dog days of summer are continuing to plague Lindsey Vonn throughout this winter season.

After an apparent scuffle between her two dogs (Leo and Bear Vonn) over a frisbee (why is it always a frisbee?), Lindsey Vonn was hospitalized over the weekend due to a gruesome bite to her hand. On her Instagram, Vonn captioned the photo “This is what I get… an amazing @jimmyfallon belated Halloween costume!”

The comment refers to an event at Harvard, where Fallon fell while attempting to accept the Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor. He was holding a bottle of Jaeger at the time of the accident.

Also, this isn’t Vonn’s first hand injury. Back in 2009 the world cup champ sliced her thumb on a bottle of the bubbly and was forced to race with her hand attached to her ski pole. And in keeping with tradition, this hand injury will not slow Vonn’s racing season. She still plans to race in Aspen at the end of the month and according to a video posted to her Instagram, her skiing is just fine.

What a trooper…
