Suns out, guns out, buns out in southern Vermont this weekend with Killington Ski Resort wrapping up the longest ski season on the East Coast this Saturday and temperatures are predicted to be in the 80s.

Killington will be spinning the Superstar Express Quad lift on Friday and Saturday and then call and end to their 187-day season.  Just FYI, Superstar Quad will be walk-on, walk-off – you’ll have to remove your skis or snowboard before loading. Groomers are currently racing around to connect snow patches for top to bottom skiing but the resort is making no guarantees. Lift tickets are $29 and lifts spin Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday from 8am to 5pm.

Be advised, there will be no beginner terrain available so leave the newbies at the bottom. Also you should throw your bike on the rack if you have one because the mountain-biking park will open as well. Have fun, wear sunscreen!

HERE’S THE OFFICIAL PRESSER FROM KILLINGTON ABOUT THE FINAL WEEKEND:

The final weekend of the longest season in the East is here, Killington fans. The Superstar Express Quad will turn today and tomorrow for the final two days of this 187 day season.

The grooming team has worked hard throughout the year and will continue to work hard for top to bottom skiing on Friday and Saturday – but it is not guaranteed.  We will spin the lifts today and tomorrow – even if walking is required – with Saturday being the final ski day of the season. Lift tickets for Friday and Saturday will be $29 per day, all ages – no online sales. Please note that the Superstar Quad will be walk-on, walk-off – you’ll have to remove your skis or snowboard before loading.

The good news is the Bike Park opens on Saturday, May 26 so we can ski, snowboard and mountain bike on the same day, giving us another multi-sport Memorial Day Weekend. Lift tickets for Friday and Saturday will be $29 per day, all ages – no online sales. Purchase a Bike and Ski lift ticket on Saturday for $49. OR get a taste of the new Beast 365 All-Seasons Pass this weekend only. For $99 adventure seekers will have unlimited access to skiing, golf the Adventure Center and mountain bike lift, trails and rentals from Friday to Monday. Want more? You can apply the $99 you paid for the weekend towards the year-long pass. Guests over the age of 65 or below 29 years old are $79 and children ages 7-18 are $69.

For Bike Park opening weekend, we’ll have the Snowshed trails open, with the exception of Coaster Trail, served by the Snowshed Express Quad. Please see the Operations Schedule for projected opening times of the other Bike Park lifts and trail areas.

*Please note that there is no novice terrain available for the remainder of the ski and snowboard season.*

Superstar Hours of Operation:

Friday – 9am to 5pm

Saturday – 8am to 5pm
