East Madison, New Hampshire — If you’re looking to use up your remaining vacation days for this year, one option is to go skiing for cheap at King Pine.
Last week, King Pine began selling its $4 lift tickets. Now in its third consecutive year, this is a tribute to lift tickets of yesteryear, back when people could afford to buy a house. This online-only deal is available for use on December 18th. However, this deal is only available to the first 1,000 people who buy online. King Pine plans to operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day.
You can purchase a ticket for December 18th here.
About King Pine Ski Area
Situated in East Madison, King Pine Ski Area is part of the Purity Spring Resort. The ski area features 17 trails, 6 lifts, and a vertical drop of 350 feet. One of my favorite facts about King Pine is that some of the old lifts come from the shuttered King Ridge ski area in New London, New Hampshire.
Some of the off-slope activities include snow tubing, ice skating, nordic ski trails, and snowshoeing. In the summertime, Purity Spring Resort is home to summer activities like swimming, fishing, kayaking, waterskiing, and more.
King Pine also received over $400k in improvements for this upcoming season. The upgrades include a new conveyor lift in the snow tubing area, a new snowmaking pipeline for the tubing park and backside of the mountain, and the renovation of the Evergreen Room at the base lodge. A new point-of-sale system has also been installed, providing improved technology to facilitate easier and quicker purchases.
