Incredible story out of Utah where school nurse Ashley Anderson was enjoying a Memorial Day hike with her two children and family dogs in Adams Canyon when she heard yelling and discovered a 64-year-old grandfather who was seriously injured after falling 20 feet down a waterfall.

Anderson’s medical training kicked in and she took control of the situation treating the injured hiker who had suffered an obviously broken leg and head laceration. Rescue teams eventually arrived on scene and airlifted the man to safety who was later reported to have suffered a shattered kneecap and broken femur. Despite the severity of his injuries he is expected to make a full recovery.

Cheers to Nurse Anderson who snapped into action and helped save this hiker in distress.
