A skier having a casual chat in the middle of a trail switched into concerned parent mode after seeing a child take a high speed faceplant. With no adults in the immediate area, he cut his conversation short and checked on the crying child and consoled her until her father was able to herringbone uphill to the scene moments later.

Its important to remember that while there are professional ski patrollers on duty to address injured or otherwise distraught guests at ski resorts, if you can help in the immediate aftermath of crash you should do so and alert ski patrol if they are needed. This includes welfare checks and helping gather lost equipment.

Lovely display of skier etiquette in the situation as the one man addressed the crying child while another gathered her lost skis. Well done.
