Montana’s Whitefish Mountain Resort had an excellent season as far a skier visits go, clocking in 497,000 for winter 2024/2025, just shy of their all-time record set in 2022-2023 with just over 500,000.
Skier visits are quantified by each time a lift ticket, season pass or frequent skier card is scanned for the first time on a given day. Whitefish Pilot reports the busiest day of the season was January 4th when the resort saw 4,819 on the slopes.

“Early-season snowpack enabled us to open lots of terrain when we fired up the chairlifts in early December. Several storms overdelivered throughout the winter, bringing us incredible deep powder days. And spring snowfall carried us all the way through to a bright and sunny closing weekend.” -Whitefish Mountain Resort Public Relations Manager Chad Sokol
Whitefish skiers and snowboarders had incredible spring skiing conditions on their final weekend of operations and resort officials are already looking forward to summer activities like mountain biking, alpine slides and zip line tours.

In the meantime while they still have snow but aren’t spinning lift, resort officials are asking folks to abide by their uphill policy of only using the East Route.

Heads up if you plan on purchasing a season pass for 2025-2026 season at Whitefish as the went on sale last week. Prices go up at the end of September so you have some time but it’s good to keep in mind. Cheers to the good folks as Whitefish for another incredible year of skiing and riding!
