Violence on the ski mountain is never justified. If there’s a serious problem, get ski patrol and let them handle it. But some people are just too entitled and have no sense of self control, ruining the peace that should exist on the resort.
It’s not clear exactly what triggered this fight in what appears to be the Big Red Express lift line at Whistler Blackcomb. Some comments claim that the guy in the orange snow pants left his skis in line and thought that meant a saved spot. Others say the guy in the black snow pants cut the line. What is clear is that the guy in the orange pants is the reason this escalated into a physical fight, getting in the skiers face and shoving him back before throwing the first punches.
Whistler Blackcomb doesn’t appear to have any rules specifically addressing fighting on the mountain, but it seems likely that behavior like this could get you banned from the mountain. Oh yeah, and charged with an actual crime too.
