As the ski season in the Northern Hemisphere enters its final phase some may be looking to make 2025 their year of the endless winter and there is only way to do it, point your wagon south.

Skiing in South America is a bucket list summer adventure for many North Americans. Looking at resort live cameras in the middle of the dog days of summer watching an snow accumulate on the Andes Mountains can be pure torture but many weary of committing to the crossing the equator with their ski bag.

Skiing in South America looks a good bit different from skiing in North America and being prepared for the differences can make your trip a whole lot better. The following video explores of these differences, ranging from mountain aesthetic to the high costs you may encounter.

Personally most of these differences just make me want to head to South America even more, but not everyone is going to be like that. Fortunately if you’re looking for an out-of-North America skiing experience, there are plenty of other places around the world that could grab your attention.
