3. Alta Ski Area, Utah – 548 inch average

Utah’s snowiest ski resort, Alta Ski Area receives an average of 548 inches of snowfall in a season. Their largest single season on record came in 2022-23, when Alta saw 903 inches of snow.

2. Alyeska Resort, Alaska – 650 inch average

Alyeska Resort’s 1,610 skiable acres and 76 named runs offer incredible views and top tier terrain. Plus, with an average annual snowfall of 650 inches, the resort tends to have plenty of powder.

1. Mt. Baker, Washington – 688 inch average

Mt. Baker’s annual snowfall totals are almost hard to believe. The Washington ski area sees 688 inches of snowfall on average, but during the 1998-99 season, 1,140 inches of snow fell on the mountain.
