Red Bull Rampage is easily one of the best extreme sports events to happen every year, pushing mountain bikers to extremes that exist in very few other places. It easy solely for the most elite, best of the best freeride mountain bikers out there, taking them down massive cliffs and treacherous features. Its competition venues are like no other.
So naturally professional scooter rider Clayton Lindley of Undialed decided he’d try to tackle the notorious Utah venue on his dirt scooter. He sticks to a section built for the 2008 competition, rather than trying to send one of the 50+ feet cliffs built for the more recent competitions, but it’s still hard to believe that he’s out there in the first place. Just standing on those trails would give me the heebie-jeebies.
This year’s Red Bull Rampage was a year for the history books, if you haven’t seen anything from it yet. It marked the first time women were able to compete in the competition and included some mind-boggling runs on both sides. Worth watching the replays if you haven’t yet had the opportunity to check them out.
