Chris Tomer 10 day forecast.
Chris Tomer 10 day forecast.

We’re finally starting to see forecasts of some proper snowfall headed towards Colorado and it looks really promising. We’re not talking a light dusting, either. We’re talking well over a foot of snowfall and up to two feet in some areas. We’re talking true powder skiing potential. Southwest Colorado seems to be the winner in Meteorologist Chris Tomer’s 10 day forecast.

As an avid skier and trail runner, Chris Tomer brings his love for the mountains into his mountain weather forecasts. Skiers and snowboarders around North America are able to rely on his snow forecasts for upcoming trips and adventures, while expeditions around the world utilize Tomer as a weather consultant.

Once again, Southwest Colorado looks like it’ll win the most snow from the upcoming storms. If the forecasted weather pattern holds between October 15 and October 24, Silverton could see a massive 27 inches of snowfall, while Wolf Creek, Purgatory, and Telluride all could see 20 or more inches. Most Colorado mountains will see a bit of snowfall, but anything not in the Southwest region of the state is limited to under 10 inches.
