JACKSON HOLE, Wyoming – It’s hard to turn around on an epic send when you’re already sitting at the ledge. I get that. It feels like if you turn around you’re a failure, but if you send it it you might wind up injured. I’ve never personally stood at the edge of Corbet’s Couloir at Jackson Hole. I’m not sure how I would do if I tried to ski it. But I’m sure I’d feel a bit like this kid does as he debates whether or not to send it.
A little tip, if a friend you trust is telling you not to send it, maybe avoid sending it. But it all comes down to knowing your own abilities. Just don’t wind up like this guy.
“Teenagers often pressure each other into doing stupid stuff. In this case, my friend Izaak proved himself above the peer pressure. Though we told him not to, the idiot still jumped over thirty feet onto an icy landing on one of the hardest runs in North America. He didn’t break anything, miraculously, but he is definitely sore.“
